Johnstone's Trade Aqua Water Based Undercoat is a water-based undercoat formulated for both interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. This innovative solution dries quickly, touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4-6 hours, which significantly reduces application times. Low odour and low VOCs, get the look and feel of a traditional undercoat without the inconvenience offering a more eco-friendly painting experience.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

• Remove any loose or flaking material
• Rub down sound glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly
• Prime bare wood surfaces with Johnstone's Trade Aqua Water Based Undercoat
• Prime all other bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone's Trade primer

Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed
• Johnstone's Trade Aqua Water Based Undercoat can be applied by brush, roller or spray
• For best results use a synthetic brush
• Avoid overspreading
• Ensure good ventilation during application and drying

Aftercare & Storage

Store the paint in dry conditions and protect from extremes of temperature.

After use firmly secure the lid and store in a secure upright position.
